Rally for the Valley
Sunday, September 16, 2018 4 pm – 7 pm
Free Shuttle from Town (Pick Up at 3rd and Grand) running from 4 pm until 7 pm
This Sunday join North Fork Valley community groups and our special guests at the Rally for the Valley, from 4 until 7 pm at Delicious Orchards.
While there will be information to share, and important actions to take – we’re also excited to celebrate our community and solidarity. We are honored to welcome some of our valley’s musical members, turning their gift into inspiration for us all.
Moth to Moonlight at 6 pm
A Colorado band from a magical little town called Paonia. We play an eclectic mix of not only original tunes, but uniquely-spun covers of traditional folk and blues songs – in various languages using unique instrumentation.
Presentation at 5:45 pm: Jordan Cove Project–Impacts from Extraction to Export
Clissett & Company 5 pm
Clisset & Company is a Folk Fusion ensemble including Steven Clisset on Guitar and vocals, Pete Jacobs on bass and vocals, Josh Livaudais on guitar, Gal Marom on Bouzouki, Justin Hess on Drums or any combination thereof. They have been performing locally at Louie’s and Paonia United Brewing. This will be their first time at Delicious Orchards
Based on the original compositions of lead vocalist Steven Paul Clisset they offer a unique blend of tunes that uplift the spirit. Painting pictures with words that speak to how we might see ourselves, our human family and life differently in poignant and playful ways. The breadth of style, though rooted in the folk tradition and inspired by the likes of Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, Joan Baez, Richie Havens and especially Joni Mitchell, spans genres from Blues to Jazz to Americana and when they do play other folks stuff it is always a unique interpretation.
